WEB SERVICES – HYPE OR REALITY?
Presented by The Software Council of Southern California and Information Week

While the noise surrounding Web Services has become almost deafening, should anyone really even care? Are Web Services any different than CORBA or COM? Are people using Web Services? If so, how and why? Which parts are ready for prime time and which aren't?

This session takes a critical look at Web Services and their practical
meaning to people making strategic decisions about software development. Come hear industry experts discuss the many sides of the argument by. No hype –- just reality.

The format of the panel includes representatives from major technology players and software development professionals who have to implement (or not) what the vendors preach.
