International Business

Trends in International Business
The "New International Economy" lives, and it is based on the faster allocation of resources made possible by technology. The recent tech shakeout has cleared the way for the next economic boom, driven by the technologies of optical fiber, semiconductors, online transactions, languages and interfaces, and broadband connections. The Internet just may turn out to be what it was supposed to be the first time around.

    Keynote Speaker Bio:
Dr. Roger Selbert is one of the most respected trend analysts in the country. He has been accurately identifying social and consumer trends (and analyzing their business and marketing implications) for over 20 years. Roger is a Principal of the Growth Strategies Group, a trend consulting company; Vice President of Strategic Planning at LatinWorks, a Hispanic and general market advertising and marketing firm; and a Resident Scholar at the La Jolla Institute, a well-known west coast think tank. Roger's track record of prescient anticipation and foresight is documented in Growth Strategies, the newsletter he has been writing and publishing since 1981, and in the innumerable presentations and keynotes he has delivered (and continues to give) on the major trends of our time. Over the years he has helped clients in manufacturing, retailing, financial services, advertising, consumer products -- the entire range of industries -- to exploit growth market opportunities by staying ahead of the trend curve. If you're interested in a successful future, he believes, it's helpful to have a good idea of what the terrain is going to look like when you get there!
