Like any promising,
developing and loosely defined technology, Web Services has been
subjected to a great deal of speculation, optimism, criticism and
hype.
What is Web
Services? Will it be a successful technology? If so, why? How will
it impact the business and value chain? Who stands to gain/lose
the most? How much time does your organization have to decide whether
or not to include Web services offerings? Is it too late to start
planning Web services offerings now? What, if anything, should you
be doing today?
The Software
Council of Southern California has developed a unique session to
help us all better understand the impact of Web Services' on the
future of the Internet and the software business. We have assembled
a special panel comprised of three leading technology executives
from Southern California to help us answer these questions. They
will share with us what their respective companies are doing in
this area and give us their opinions about the impact of web services
on businesses and software development.
