    SOFTWARE EXECUTIVE ROUNDTABLE
    SAVE THE DATE - APRIL 30, 2002

    Frank Perna
    CEO of MSC.Software Corporation
Software Industry Awards 2002 - CEO Of The Year Award Recipient

The Software Executive Roundtable is a moderated forum where executives of Southern California software companies meet and discuss in an open and collaborative environment key issues that directly affect the success of their companies. The Roundtable shuns panels, talking heads and sales pitches; it is a solid 90 minutes of peer-to-peer information exchange and debate. The moderator for each session is a well-known and knowledgeable pundit, investor or luminary in Southern California's software industry.

While the Roundtable is designed for the sole benefit of executives of software companies, service providers may attend if they are joined by a guest who is a software company executive. Non-members are welcome to attend, one-time at the non-member rate.

    No Holds Barred Budgeting
By Robert Soares, CPA, Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Goldstein, LLP

NO HOLDS BARRED! I'm sure most of you have heard the expression. It's a wrestling term that basically gives each wrestler the green light to use any and all techniques in his arsenal to win the match. Never before has a term so perfectly fit the mentality that is required in the creation of a meaningful budget for an Organization. more...

What You Do NOW, Will Echo in Eternity
By, SCSC Member, Jeff Ballard, President, Satellite Marketing

Over the last few years everyone has been talking about the 'New Economy'. It seems like every month we are facing yet another "New" angle to the economic picture. Well, forget that. I am here to tell you that we are in the 'NOW Economy'. The focus is on what we are doing right NOW. Investors want returns NOW. Analysts want to see you delivering on your strategy NOW. And the customers want real solutions NOW.

For marketing, the time to act definitely is NOW. Don't just sit there waiting to see if the market rebound is real or not. Bolster your demand generation programs. Build your sales pipeline. Drive prospects through the process of becoming customers. Grow your revenues. Don't just do it, do it NOW. Because, to spin a popular movie line, "What you do NOW, will echo in eternity." More
