Submission Guidelines

The SCSC Resource Center is an area of our web site containing links to white papers, articles, presentations, other web sites and other materials that may be of interest to members of the software community. We encourage submissions and suggest that you be mindful of the following guidelines in order to facilitate the process:

1. Submissions may be in any useful on-line form:

1a. Documents may include whitepapers, articles and presentations. We prefer links to copies hosted on another site, although we will host the file on our site as necessary. We reserve the right to reject files that are too large to enable proper downloading.

1b. Links may be to other resource centers, home pages of non-profit organizations or, as noted above, on-line documents. We will not post links to home pages or other commercial pages of for-profit organizations.

2. Submissions must be informational and objective. We will not accept submissions that appear to be sales pitches or promotional pieces.

3. Submissions may be on any topic that might be of interest to our membership - executives at the region's software and information technology companies. An initial list of categories appears on page two to assist you. Topics should be relevant to running a business and not personal in nature: "Software revenue recognition" is relevant; "top day spas for harried software executives" is not.

4. We give preference to submissions from Software Council Sponsors and members. In general, we accept submissions from non-members (other than affiliated non-profit organizations) only when the item is deemed to be of extraordinary value to the Software Council Community, as judged solely by the Software Council staff.

5. By submitting material, you acknowledge that you are legally entitled to distribute the work and to allow it to be redistributed on the Software Council web site.

6. We do not pay for submissions.

7. Submissions will be accepted or rejected at the sole discretion of the Software Council Staff.

8. Listings for the Employment Center may be jobs or employment wanted.

8a. Job postings must be senior-level positions (e.g., Director and above, with some manager positions accepted from larger companies)

8b. Job postings are free for Software Council members and sponsors, with a limit of 5 postings per organization. Non-members may post jobs for a fee of $250 for each job posted.

8c. "Employment Wanted" postings are free and available only to Software Council "Executive in Transition" members.

Please send all submissions to Catrina Gruver-Luedtke(catrina@scsc.org) and include "Resource Center Submission" in the title of the email. State in the body of the text the intended category based on the listing on page 2, or suggest another category. Submissions must be made by email; phone calls or hard-copy submissions will not be accepted.
