SOFTWARE
COUNCIL MEMBER BECOMES"THE
APPRENTICE "
Congratulations
are in order for Software Council member, Kelly Perdue. Donald
Trump recently hired him after his highly publicized victory last
month on the television show "The Apprentice". Kelly
was serving as the president of CoreObjects, member company of
the Software Council, when he was selected out of 1 million applicants
to participate on "The Apprentice".
Kelly provided
leadership in business development, legal, finance and operations
for CoreObjects, a leading Los Angeles based outsourced product
development company, which has been building core intellectual
property in collaboration with Southern California software companies
for eight years (www.coreobjects.com).
Prior to his Participation on "The Apprentice", 37 year
old Perdew raised over $5M in equity financing for three start
up technology-based companies. Kelly holds a BS degree from the
US Military Academy, West Point, and earned an MBA from The Anderson
School at UCLA and a JD from the UCLA School of Law.
Commenting on Kelly's victory, Girish Venkat, CoreObjects' CEO
says "Our entire company wishes all the best to Kelly in
his new endeavors and we thank him for his many contributions
to our growth and success. We know that he will bring the same
passion and drive that he has always demonstrated at CoreObjects
to Trump's organization as the new Apprentice!"
2004 was also a year of tremendous growth and success for CoreObjects-doubling
their revenues and growing from 45 to over 120 employees. CoreObjects
has recently strengthened their management team with two new key
management additions: Satish Ramakrishnan, CTO and Vishal Purohit,
SVP of Operations and Strategy.
We share in the congratulations to Kelly and hope to see him in
the future bringing his skills and experience back to aid in the
growth and success of Southern California's software and information
technology industry.
