BOOTCAMP

Positioning Your Company for Success

June 30, 2005

Is your company positioned for success?

Do your sales messages resonate with prospects and customers? Do investors understand your value proposition well enough to fund you at the valuation you deserve? Does your development team understand your vision for the company, and work toward achieving it? Have you effectively carved out a defensible position in the marketplace that differentiates you from the competition?

If you’re like most technology companies, you probably haven’t done any of these as well as you know you’d like to—and need to. On June 30th, the Software Council will present a unique opportunity for you to learn how to uncover and unleash your unique value proposition—and ways that you can leverage it for success in the marketplace.

Whether you’re in Executive Management, Marketing, Sales, Operations or Finance there will be something of value for you to take away from this workshop. You’ll learn:

    • The three rules for successfully developing a winning market position
    • How to compete with your industry’s 800-lb gorilla
    • How to leverage your competitor’s strengths against them
    • The one question to ask your customer that ensures retention
    • How to use tactics deployed by other successful companies in your business

All attendees will receive a FREE copy of the CJ Patrick Company White Paper “Creating a Unique Value Proposition for Your Company.”

SPECIAL LIMITED OFFER

Would you like to see your company’s positioning strategy developed—in real time—at this event? We will be selecting one or two companies to participate in this bootcamp. We will work through an abbreviated version of what is usually a half-day Positioning Workshop, to outline a strategy that addresses each company’s customer profile, market need, product or service offering and competitive differentiation. If you’re interested in being one of these companies, simply fill out the brief form that’s attached.

Seating is limited, so register today!

About the Speaker

Rick Sharga is the President and CEO of CJ Patrick Company, a business strategy firm that helps its customers create unique value propositions and successfully deploy them in the marketplace. A nationally-recognized speaker on branding, Rick has nearly a quarter century of experience developing sales and marketing strategies for leading technology companies such as Fujitsu, Toshiba, Hitachi, JD Edwards, Honeywell and Best Software.

Included among his accomplishments are launching a $1.8 billion international business for DuPont and leading the re-positioning efforts that successfully introduced Cox Communications into the Business-to-Business market. At CJ Patrick Company, Rick applies the disciplines learned working with these corporations to help small to medium sized enterprises accelerate growth and enter new markets.

A proud father of two active youngsters, Rick spends his spare time barbecuing—and comparing notes with other BBQ aficionados about what wines go best with baby back spare ribs.
