Chris Barnes:
Business Development Manager for ExactTarget
Christopher Barnes has 15 years experience in helping corporations
grow sales, retain clients, and improve profitability. Currently,
Mr. Barnes serves as a Director of Business Development for Exact
Target Email Solutions. Based in Indianapolis, Exact Target was
voted by Forester as the number one technology solution for email
marketing. Currently they have over 3000 clients and 300 agencies
under annual contract. Barnes also co-founded a successful six
year old Los Angeles interactive marketing agency where his clients
benefited by his expertise in developing and deploying integrated
marketing strategies. He was instrumental in acquiring key accounts
such as Nissan Motors, Lexus, and 20th Century Fox. Mr. Barnes'
insights into new marketing solutions help lead this company's
drive into CD-ROM and web development. His duties included the
development of strategic alliances and building and motivating
a sales team to reach specified sales goals.
He previously
worked for Ivy Hill a division of Time Warner, as a print salesman
providing turnkey CD-ROM packaging and replication solutions for
the Software Industry. His clients included Activision, Havas
Interactive, Knowledge Adventure, and Sierra OnLine, among others.
Mr. Barnes
is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. In his spare time,
Mr. Barnes develops mentoring groups in the Los Angeles area.
Mr. Barnes also speaks at trade shows and business schools by
invitation on the subject of Interactive Marketing and Permission
Email Strategies.
Moe Farsheed,
CEO of MindFire
Inc
With over
20 years of experience in the fields of electrical engineering
and computer science, Moe Farsheed founded MindFireInc to help
companies of all sizes take advantage of the internet. Moe draws
on a diverse technology background and strong commitment to educational
values in setting MindFireIncs business and technical strategy.
In the mid-1990s,
as Director of Internet Services for OnLine Connecting Point,
of Irvine, CA, Mr. Farsheed was instrumental in developing a partnership
with Pacific Bell Internet Services, Cisco, and Sun Microsystems
to integrate companies onto the Internet. Later, as Director of
Information Services for the Irvine Unified School District in
Irvine, CA, he designed and implemented a computing infrastructure
encompassing 35 sites that received national attention from such
technology giants as Novell, Cisco, and Bay Networks. Mr. Farsheed
has served on the Technology Committees of the City of Irvine
and the Laguna Beach Unified School District and has consulted
for Bay Networks in their Educational Division. He has also served
as technical consultant and member of the Technology Committee
for Project Tomorrow, a joint venture between large corporations
and educators to enhance the use and teaching of science and technology
in the public schools of Orange County. Mr. Farsheed has been
highlighted as a "success story" on Novell's Web site
and corporate newsletter, has received an Award of Recognition
from the Orange County Board of Supervisors for his philanthropic
work on Project Tomorrow, and has been featured in several news
articles in the Los Angeles Times and Orange County Register.
Barry Yarkoni
, President of MailersClub
Barry Yarkoni is the CEO, Chairman, and "Postmaster General"
of MailersClub, which began operations in April, 2000. Mr. Yarkoni
decided to create the MailersClub service watching his wife and
20 other ladies manually fold and stuff envelopes for a Los Angeles
charity. After unsuccessfully trying to find a one-stop source
for preparing the organization's mailings, Mr. Yarkoni quickly
came to the realization that there was a huge, untapped market
for short-run printing and mailing services for businesses and
organizations. He quickly assembled an experienced team of programmers
and website creators. MailersClub successfully launched an automated
"print and mail on demand" system in April, 2001, and
has now completed over 15,000 mailings for customers worldwide.
Mr. Yarkoni
has spent the past 28 years in high tech engineering, marketing,
and management. Prior to the formation of MailersClub, he was
Director of Information Systems for Marvin Engineering, a "Top
100" Los Angeles-based aerospace company from 1997. In addition
to creating the company's network, he also created the company's
Intranet and website.
In 1989 he
founded The Net Works, a computer networking VAR, and was the
company's CEO. Previously, Mr. Yarkoni held senior management
positions at IBM/Rolm Systems (Major Accounts Sales Manager and
Product Line Marketing Manager), Business and Professional Software
(VP Sales and Marketing), Apple Computer (Systems Marketing Manager,
Peripherals Marketing Director), and Intel Corporation (Product
Marketing Manager).
Mr. Yarkoni
has extensive experience developing complex database and list
management applications. His marketing experience includes over
a dozen major product introductions encompassing hardware, software,
peripherals and semiconductors.
He received
a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester
in 1974. He also studied Computer Science at University of Pennsylvania's
Moore School and Marketing Management at the George Washington
University Business School.
