Software Business SIG

The Allure of Software as a Service

November 17, 2005

Software as a Service "SaaS" is a real change sweeping across many diverse software market segments. The effects of the new paradigm are seen across the industry from CRM/ERP/Accounting systems to telecommunication systems. It is a real threat to many conventional software houses, whose product comes with a high upfront price tag. Is your market suitable for SaaS model? Are you ready for SaaS?

If you haven't taken a hard look at using the Software-as-a-Service model for some of your enterprise applications now you should-at least to see where it makes sense for your business. - eWeek

Consider three questions:

1) How to assess the threat and opportunity of Software as a Service to your current business?
2) What does it take to build a successful Software as a Service business?
3) What should you consider before making the switch from conventional model? Can the two co-exist?

Whether you are a buyer or developer of software, this is a must attend event for you to understand the paradigm shift that is currently happening. Please join us for a panel discussion on a topical and compelling topic, and don't be left behind.
