David
Butler
Named one of Accounting Today magazine's "Most Influential
People" based on his contributions toward changing the
way in which the profession does business. Butler is currently
the Executive Vice President, Customer & Channel Operations
for Best Software. Best Software is a $1 billion dollar world-wide
group of companies specializing is business management software.
Best owns successful software brands such as Peachtree, MAS90,
MAS500, ACT, Platinum for Windows, and ACCPAC.
David's
opening remarks will help us understand the economics behind
the value customers bring to a business over the long haul.
He will also give us insight into how Best has been able to
remain extremely and consistently profitable during the past
decade.
Paul
Ulyett
Paul was the person at Oracle responsible for conceiving and
creating the process, content, and services behind Oracle's
first global Value Marketing initiative. As vice-president,
he led the establishment of a web-based portal to gain specific
community loyalty to Oracle's vast line of products. He is now
an independent consultant specializing in marketing and sales
using techniques, processes and tools he has developed to help
companies integrate these two critical disciplines to better
drive productivity and profit.
Paul will
share his experience with us including how he put together a
high-impact, low-cost community marketing program. Drawing on
the lesions he learned at Oracle, he will help us understand
how community-based marketing can be effective for all technology
firms.
Mitch
Cannady
Mitch is the founder and president of Spinnaker, the largest
VAR for SalesLogix, the leading CRM solution for the mid-market.
Mitch's firm has been called on by numerous high-tech companies
in Southern California to implement customer relationship management
software solutions as well as process improvement consulting
in the areas of sales and customer service.
From his
vantage point of having seen many firms attempting process improvement,
Mitch will share with us keys for success. He will illuminate
the importance of a well developed plan with clear milestones
and goals. He will also discuss the importance of embedding
best practices in an automated approach accessible throughout
the organization.
