How to Survive and Thrive in the Software Industry

Michael Edell, CEO of eLabor, Inc., will detail what it takes to survive and thrive in today's software industry at the Software Council of Southern California’s Valley Chapter meeting. Based on his own experiences, Edell will talk about the pluses and minuses of investor funding, using strategic partners and alliances, buying and selling
companies, using bank debt, positioning and repositioning, when you should think about changing the company’s name, and the importance of core business focus.

An original founder of Camarillo-based eLabor, Edell brings over 16 years of combined experience in the development, design, implementation, and marketing of resource management software applications and services. Since taking his position as president of eLabor in 1988, Edell has achieved significant gains for the company, which has nearly doubled revenues every year since 1994.
