"TURNING YOUR IDEA
INTO A SUCCESSFUL SOFTWARE COMPANY"
Many of the
most successful software companies in the world did not start as
venture-capital-backed, business-planned endeavors, but as ideas
derived from other activities. Some examples are companies created
to productize custom software written on behalf of a client, to
commercialize technology developed at a university or corporation,
or to pursue a dream or a personal hobby.
This workshop
is meant to help those who think their idea could become a successful
software company. The panelists are experts who will cover the fundamentals,
from funding and capitalization strategies, to the assessment of
commercial viability, to the ownership and protection of intellectual
property.
