Surya Jayaweera is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of WolfeTech
Corporation, a privately held software development company located
in Claremont, Ca. Jayaweera founded WolfeTech in 1997 with the vision
of turning next generation smart two-way devices into tiny network
computers, and has pioneered the development of software applications
for such devices. Mr. Jayaweera created PocketGenie, WolfeTechs
flagship application, as a wireless portal to the Internet and it
was the first software application commercially developed and released
for both Motorola's PageWriter and Research in Motions Interactive
pager. Since WolfeTechs founding, the company has become the
leading wireless applications and solutions developer in the industry.
Mr. Jayaweera has broadened the companys focus to include
the development of custom enterprise solutions for large corporate
clients. WolfeTech has created enterprise solutions for corporations
in the entertainment, financial, pharmaceutical, and transportation
industries, as well as enabled ISPs and online brokerage houses
to offer their customers wireless access to their services. Prior
to founding WolfeTech, Jayaweera worked with Andersen Consulting
and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Jayaweera is a graduate
of Harvey Mudd College, one of the nations leading science
and engineering undergraduate institutions. Jayaweera has spoken
as an industry expert at many wireless conferences and exhibitions,
including Wireless I.T. and Supercomm, two of the world's largest
annual communications and information technology exhibitions and
conferences.
