What:
The 2003 Software Industry Awards are produced by the Software Council of Southern California with generous contributions from KPMG LLP, O'Melveny & Meyers LLP, Silicon Valley Bank, neoBrands, and socalTECH.com.

Why:
The Software Industry Awards, now in their ninth year of existence, recognize leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the industry. The Awards also measure the continuing growth and influence of the software industry in Southern California, representing over 8,000 companies and tens of thousands of talented employees.

The 2003 Software Industry Awards will recognize winners in five categories:

> Software CEO of the Year
> Software Entrepreneur of the Year
> Software Developer of the Year
> Software Company of the Year

Who:
The 2003 Software Industry Awards will attract over 300 executives from Southern California's software, Internet, entertainment and support industries.

Past events have also attracted influential members of the media, including representatives from the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Business Journal, Wall Street Journal, Software Magazine, New Media Magazine, InfoWorld, Byte, Net Guide, Computer Currents, and Microtimes.
